1st SSHM UG Research Showcase on Thursday 17 March 2016

It is a pleasure to announce the first SSHM UG Research Showcase on Thursday 17 March 2016 in the Great Hall, Strand Campus.

 The Research Showcase is a student-led conference featuring the research posters of SSHM’s BA/BSc Global Health and Social Medicine students who are enrolled on Research Practice & Design Studio, a first-year social research methods module.  The conference will also feature a panel discussion on Urban Health, featuring KCL’s Dr Stephani Hatch from Psychological Medicine at the IOPPN and Professor Anthea Tinker from the Institute of Gerontology, as well as Dr Jenny Mindell of UCL, and a pop-quiz (with prizes) on global health and social medicine.

The preliminary programme is as follows:

10.00-10.20 Registration

10.20-10.30 Welcome and Introductions

10.30-11.30 Panel discussion: Urban Health

11.30-11.45 Coffee/tea

11.45-13.00 Poster Session

13.00-13.45 Lunch

13.45-14.30 Quiz and wrap-up

 The conference is free thanks to support from the SSPP Education Fund and is open to all KCL students and staff.
