We are delighted to announce the next SSHM Careers Events for January and February for our UG and PG students:

1) Careers in Think Tanks, Monday 25th January 18.30 -19.30pm Old Anatomy lecture Theatre

Alumni share their experiences and advice on forging a career in this popular and competitive sector.

Panellists include: Carl Miller Research Director, Demos; Denitsa Raynova Research Associate, European Leadership Network; Tim Eaton, Chatham House; Ashlee Godwin Production Editor RUSI Journal, RUSI

This event is organised jointly by KCL Think Tank Society and Careers and Employability

2) Professional Online Networking for your Career – Monday, 1 February | 14:00 – 15:00 | S-2.23

Online professional networks and social media are an integral part of recruitment.  Regardless of whether you are a student or in the world of work, it is never too early to start using them for careers. In this session you will learn how you can use professional online networks to your advantage in your careers research, and job search. This session is being delivered with LinkedIn.

3) Careers in European & International Policy, Thurs, 4 February | 18:00 – 19:30 | K1.28

Do you want to find out more about working in a European and International Policy? Then we highly encourage you to come along to our sector insight panel session. You will hear directly from a range of professionals about what it is like to work in these areas, including how they got to where they are now, what they do day-to-day, and what their organisations look for in graduates. You will get the opportunity to ask them your own questions.

Panellist include: Public policy consultant at VVA Europe; National Expert in Professional Training (European Commission) at European Fast Stream, Civil Service, Clara O’Donnell Fellow at the Centre for European Reform
