We are delighted to announce the 1st KCL Bioethics & Society Student Conference.
Where: K2.40, Strand Campus
Students of the MA in Bioethics & Society will be presenting their dissertation research projects. Topics will range from ethical implication preimplantation genetic diagnosis for late onset disorders, to synthetic biology and biosecurity, to ethics of first-in clinical trials and Ebola vaccines, to questions of identity in patients on long-term life sustaining treatments, to developing a framework for participant-led genomics in developing countries, to concepts of recovery and authenticity in eating disorders, to ethics of climate change, to Buddhist-ethics approaches to pharmaceutical enhancement, just to mention some!
Ilina Singh, Professor of Neuroscience & Society at the University of Oxford, will deliver a keynote lecture.
