bartholomowThe third excursion will start at 14:45 on Wednesday 6th May. We will be heading from Strand Campus to St. Paul’s underground station where we will meet with , a former nurse and medical historian turned professional guide who will give us a fascinating walking tour of the area.

The tour will cover a broad range of London’s historic health issues, from cholera outbreaks to plague pits. Along the way we will stop in at St. Bartholomew’s museum for a crash course in the rich history of Europe’s oldest hospital. Afterwards, those who are still standing are invited to a nearby pub for refreshment.
