BESJ Film Screening Series Part II kicks off with two movies on Ageing: “Amour ” and “Robot & Frank”

We are delighted to announce that the BESJ Bioethics Film Screening series is resuming in term 2 with a series of films on the topic of “Ageing”.

Please mark your diaries for the next two screenings:

WheatleyMichaelJanuary 20th, “Amour” by Michael Haneke. Dr Catherine Wheatley from Film Studies is going to lead the discussion. Catherine is an expert of Michael Haneke’s filmography. She has written“The Ethic of the image”, shortlisted in 2009 for Best Moving Image Book by the And/Or Book Awards.

February 24th, “Robot & Frank” by Jake Schreier.  The discussion is going to be led by Dr Silvia Camporesi from SSHM and by Dr Hannah Hamad of Film Studies.

All the screenings take place at 630 pm in the Film Screening Room, Ground Floor East Wing King’s Building.
